First, I put this topic in the winter forum. If it doesn't fit please move it. But the dynamics of the weather are still wintry here.

Unusual rain and thunderstorms are forecasted for a large portion of the eastern Arabian Gulf. Unusual in terms of amount and timing. The GFS is calling for rainfall amounts as much as 200mm in northern UAE. This is a lot. And to make things more exciting, the upper 500mb low will strengthen next week. The strange thing is how prolonged this unsettled weather might be.

This is highly unusual for this part of the world and this time of the year.

I think we are in for a cyclogenesis. I will be keeping an eye on satellite images.

I didn't expect accuweather to write about our next severe weather.
